About Ben Berkenbosch

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was only 7 years old I remember listening to Two Steps From Hell. This type of music opened up my world, truly bringing my creativity and fantasies to life. I eventually started playing piano because I wanted to play my own ideas in this style What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Tony Anderson, Nuit Two Steps From Hell, SkyWorld Various Artists, Arcane League of Legends (Soundtrack from the Animated Series) Nuit is like immersing into the night, while floating through life. Skyward is a classic one that has a special place in my heart. Epic, cold, dramatic and it truly strengthens me. Arcane is so magically beautiful, truly a great soundtrack Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Elyos” This song is very special to me, because it helped me resonate with my emotions. I wrote this in order to process the grief, the sadness, and the fear. Rather than suppressing it. The fact that music can do this for me makes this piece really special What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was sitting at the train station, waiting for my train to go home, when I suddenly received a message that my song: "Broken Dreams" has been used on Ólafur Arnalds' Ultimate Calm podcast on BBC. It's a truly indescribable feeling. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Honestly, I am happy with whatever direction this journey goes, as long as there is music involved. Though two notable things from my bucket list would be: -Having a song performed by a live orchestra -Collaborating with a talented singer
