About Austin Mahone

Drawing influence from ’90s R&B and Justin Bieber, pop singer Austin Mahone emerged in the 2010s with a buoyant contemporary pop sound. • Mahone began his rise to fame in 2010 when he first posted videos online of himself singing cover songs. His picks included a 2011 version of Bieber’s Christmas song “Mistletoe.” • He released his first original single, “11:11,” in 2012. His second single, “Say Somethin’,” came later the same year and went Top 40 on Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart. A record deal followed in November 2012. • The singer released a pair of EPs, in 2013 (only in Japan) and 2014, before putting out his first full-length, Dirty Work—The Album in 2017. He has also released two mixtapes. • In addition to music, Mahone has landed a couple of acting gigs. He appeared as himself in Season Four of Big Time Rush in 2013 and had a small role in an episode of The Millers in 2014.
