In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing a pink toy piano I had, with my blue acoustic guitar. I was around the age of 5, and I would put on shows for family and friends. It was a Maroon 5 song that would automatically play on the piano as I would play the lit up keys. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? HARDY, A ROCK The Lumineers, Cleopatra Zac Brown Band, The Foundation “A Rock” is the perfect for a drive with the windows down, warming up, or a good workout. “The Foundation”takes me back home to Virginia hanging out on the beach with family and friends. “Cleopatra” inspires me lyrically. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dear Dolly” The writing process of the song was a huge healing mechanism, as I wrote it alone in my car on a late night drive in my hometown at age 17. This song helped launch my artistry and lead me to people and fans who could relate to me and my music. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The messages that I receive from people who listen to my music. I love hearing about how I have healed them in a certain way, or made them feel heard. At the end of the day, THAT is what it is most important to me, and it will simply never get old. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have dream collaborations, dream venues, dream awards, and so much more. It helps me sleep at night knowing these experiences are out there somewhere, hopefully waiting for me.
