In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I knew I wanted to be a singer when I heard the Preacher's Wife soundtrack as a little girl, and Whitney Houston's voice wafted out on the opening track "I Believe In You and Me". I immediately wanted to make others feel how her voice made me feel. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Last Lovers (feat. Durand Bernarr)” It's all about love and vulnerability–I wrote it from a wistful, romantic place. And I love how Durand's voice and my voice just melt together so beautifully. It's also my first song to have real strings, which I've always wanted to have on a song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I got to meet and sit in on a recording session with two of the members of Prince & The Revolution: Wendy & Lisa. All I could do was soak up their musical wisdom and try not to cry! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to successfully release my first full-length album! Generally, I release EPs that are bite-sized tastes of my sound. I also want to eventually chart, tour, and work with more of my favorite artists.
