About Architects

In 2004, Dan Searle and his twin brother, Tom, founded Architects, which then went by the name Counting the Days. ∙ In 2008, Architects became the first British band since Napalm Death to sign with Century Media Records. ∙ The Here and Now, the band’s 2011 breakthrough, topped the UK Rock and Metal Albums chart. ∙ To finance the documentary One Hundred Days: The Story of the Architects’ Almost World Tour, they turned to their fans, who crowdfunded the project. ∙ Architects have not only won three Kerrang! Awards, but in 2019 they also became the first artist to take home multiple Heavy Music Awards at the same event. ∙ Their albums Lost Forever // Lost Together, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, and Holy Hell all hit the Top 20 on the UK charts. ∙ After lead guitarist Tom Searle died of skin cancer, Architects returned to the studio to record music that helped them process the loss, including Searle’s unfinished song “Doomsday.”
