In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my first musical memories was learning to play multiple instruments. I can play mridangam, ghatam, piano, and violin. In addition, I started learning to compose for string orchestras and expanded ensembles and am expanding my work. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Amir, Ressources Max Giesinger, VIER EINHALB Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) I am interested in various genres of music, ranging from several types in India to European styles suc h as German classical, German pop, French pop, and Portuguese Fado. I look to integrate elements from these genres to compose my own works. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Theme of Glücklich” This song is very special to me as I think this is one of my best instrumental works, where I wanted to express the emotion of missing someone that makes you happy as a person, and how their absence makes you cry. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I got to meet A.R. Rahman, a world-famous musician, when he came to my hometown to perform. Having listened to his music my whole life, I will always cherish the moment. It was surreal to see him up close and talk to him and have a conversation. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I am a Indian-Japanese-American music composer, director, and performer, passionate about different world genres. We have the power to improve and expand on our relationships with each other and music is the universal language.
