In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was sitting at the piano with my instructor, who was astounded all of a sudden. He looked at me and said "you're not looking at the keyboard. You're playing by ear!" He told me I had a gift, and I'll never forget it. Byron Cage, Byron Cage (Live) Snarky Puppy, GroundUP Tonéx, Playlist: The Very Best of Tonéx If I could hear them all together...Snarky Puppy, Byron Cage, and Tonéx were a breath of fresh air to their genres. They fused styles across the spectrum, instrumental sounds I had never heard, and vocals that ultimately changed the game. From the culture-shaking verses to the dynamic instrumental outro, it's a reminder that life is so much more than what we see. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Singing at the largest protest on gun violence (March for Our Lives DC, 2018) was an honor a riveting moment in history. Masses gathered at the nation's capitol to take a stand, and I pray we won't need to any longer. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm eager to visit areas around the world who may never download a song I've written, go to a live concert, or perhaps even hear that Jesus is Lord (who died and rose) to free us from sin. It's the greatest song I could ever sing.
