In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad yelling at me for singing too much on the soccer field, stamping around the yard using a watering can as bagpipes, writing little bedtime songs for my stuffed animals, but I think my fondest memories are of listening to music with my dad. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fleet Foxes, Helplessness Blues Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, Tuku Music Tim Baker, Forever Overhead Tuku music is pure joy - it's impossible not to dance to this album. Helplessness Blues encapsulates my early 20s for me - lost love and traveling and uncertainty and possibility. Forever Overhead makes me hold my friends tight. Tell us why you chose this song. “Courage and Crime” Courage and Crime acts as an anchor for me – when I hear it I ask myself if I’m practicing self-care or am I being a coward. When the world is on fire, it’s an important question to keep asking. Every band member shines through this one. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our first show as a band was special. We played at the Duckworth barn, nestled in the trees by the beach, lit with twinkle lights, the sound of the ocean everywhere. Filled with loved ones - it was the first time we got to share our project. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would be so excited to open for a band I love and admire to my home-town audience. Opening up for someone like Tim Baker in Halifax would be a dream.
