About Adam Hawley
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memories were finding my parents' vinyl and cassette collection, including Earth, Wind, and Fire, Brothers Johnson, the Time Life Compilations (1960, '61, '62 etc.). I started piano at 8 and then gravitated towards the guitar at 9yo. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Earth, Wind & Fire, That's the Way of the World George Benson, Breezin' Wes Montgomery, The Incredible Jazz Guitar Of Wes Montgomery (Remastered 2025) Hearing Breezin' for the first time was life changing; I had to dig into it deeper! Before Benson, Wes Montgomery was a huge influence. Finally, I found my parents vinyl of "That's The Way of the World" and it inspired my introduction to music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “35th St. (feat. Eric Darius)” This was my 1st radio single. My A&R at the time Ted Joseph explained that since it was my first single we hoped for modest airplay and would build my career over time. It ended up being Billboard #1 for 5 weeks and launched my solo career! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2002, in my first year of moving to L.A. to pursue a music career, I attended a concert at the Hollywood Bowl to see Santana. 17 years later I performed my own show at that same venue in front of 10,000+, definitely a full-circle moment! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have had such a blessed career already and feel so fortunate for the amazing experiences. I just hope to continue building in both my recording and touring career!!
