Aaron Raitiere is an heir to Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, and other literate progressive country singer/songwriters who prized clever turns of phrase as much as well-weathered chord changes. This relaxed, rambling swagger is evident on the songs Raitiere penned as a professional songwriter, landing credits on Miranda Lambert albums and winning a Grammy in 2020 for "I'll Never Love Again," a song he co-wrote with Lady Gaga for her A Star Is Born remake. All these gifts come into sharp relief on Raitiere's own recordings, especially his full-length 2022 debut Single Wide Dreamer, an album co-produced by Miranda Lambert and Anderson East.
