About Bizzy Banks

Bizzy Banks is an emerging Brooklyn drill rapper whose rapid rise—and cosign from Pop Smoke—helped land him a deal with Atlantic Records. • Bizzy Banks was raised in Brooklyn’s gritty East New York section. He is the youngest of five in a Trinidadian American family. Growing up, Bizzy practiced Rastafarianism. • While “Bizzy” is a name he earned in his neighborhood, “Banks” is a nod of respect to popular ’00s rapper Lloyd Banks. • He broke through in 2019 with the streaming hit “Don’t Start." • Days before his death in February 2020, Brooklyn drill hero Pop Smoke praised Bizzy’s music on The Angie Martinez Show. • In September 2020, Banks dropped his full-length debut, GMTO, Vol. 1 (Get Money Take Over).
