Masato Suzuki

Conductor, keyboardist, and composer Masato Suzuki has succeeded his father, Masaaki Suzuki, as conductor of the Bach Collegium Japan. He has pursued a varied career that also includes appearances with modern-instrument Japanese orchestras, performances as an organist and harpsichordist in both Japan and his native Netherlands, and a notable career as a composer. In the 2020s, he has made several recordings as a harpsichordist, leading the Bach Collegium Japan in a pair of recordings of Bach's harpsichord concertos. In 2024 and 2025, he issued a complete recording of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier in two volumes.
