About Étienne Gara

Violinist Étienne Gara specializes in contemporary music and has been especially active in the U.S., where he was partly trained. He is the founder and conductor of the Los Angeles chamber orchestra Delirium Musicum. Gara won several competitions, including Yehudi Menuhin's Music Live Now. Gara made his orchestral-soloist debut in 2005 with Hungary's Savaria Symphony Orchestra, and his career has continued with appearances in Europe, the U.S., and Asia. Gara has performed with various chamber musicians and is the co-founder of two groups, the Sunset Club Trio and the Delirium Musicum. Gara made his recording debut in 2016 on the final album of folk songwriter Leonard Cohen, You Want It Darker. In 2023, he returned with Delirium Musicum on the album Seasons: Richter, Glass, featuring contemporary concertos inspired by Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
