The not-so-secret weapon behind numerous música mexicana hits, Nathan Galante has earned a certain reputation for his songwriting pen. But beyond his proven chart successes for the likes of Grupo Firme and Carin Leon, the Tijuana native is a singer in his own right, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other artists in the genre. For Soy Sagitaro, the follow-up to his Una Copa Por Cada Reina, he offers listeners both approaches at this opportune moment in his career. Previously released singles “Alguien De Aquí” with Gerardo Coronel and “Y Soporta” with the aforementioned Grupo Firme join new tracks like “Más Allá Que Pa' Acá,” a defiant and blues-accented team-up with Adriel Favela that many a jilted lover will relate to. With the aid of frequent songwriting partner Horacio Palencia, most of the songs here find Galante as the sole headliner, taking center stage with obvious star power on the title track and “Como Antes.”
