6 Songs, 19 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

This EP may contain only six songs, but it has enough flows, hooks, and melodic ideas to fill an entire album. Take "99 Problems & Messages": Over a spacious, syncopated beat, Boogie works back and forth between tongue-twisting raps and warbly singing, even throwing in an Aaliyah quote for good measure. On "Ransom," the beat's dissonant, tipsy synths have that same warble, with Boogie practically crooning as he jumps from boast to boast while jittery drums skitter behind him.
