EDITORS’ NOTES

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry's first solo album in nearly a decade is a star-studded affair featuring guest vocals from former New York Doll David Johansen (on the harmonica-driven shuffle "Haberdasher Blues," plus two more) and onetime Led Zeppelin prospect Terry Reid (on funky rocker "Sick & Tired" and also two more). Cheap Trick's Robin Zander handles the raucous rave-up "Aye, Aye, Aye" and Perry himself sings a bluesy cover of P.F. Sloan's 1964 protest song "Eve of Destruction"—on which noted thespian Johnny Depp plays drums.
