Reservoir is an extraordinary breakup album. Sydney singer/songwriter Gordi chats with you like a friend during a late-night stroll, dispensing all manner of wisdom and experience. “Bitter End” billows with hushed beauty, given the startling level of heartbreak contained within. “Heaven I Know” and “Myriad” dip into the alt-electronica, with cleansing waves of atmosphere—even Auto-Tune. It’s easy to get swept up in the arrangements, but Gordi is the star here. She absolutely crushes. If you broke her heart, you just got served.
