10 Songs, 38 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Six years after the release of their self-produced sophomore album, 2010’s Transit Transit, the cultish L.A. electro outfit returns with new, experimental beats and textures courtesy of Beyoncé collaborator Boots. PUSSY'S DEAD is a moody, Radiohead-like mix of raspy, somber rock—as heard in the catchy “Change My Head” or the nocturnal electronics of “Soft Scene,” a spooky cut that drips Carla Azar’s sultry soprano over sinister drums and bass.

Self light

The beats are amazing the effects and production is incredible it's just so depressing and sexy. I only wish the songs had more parts and chord/mood changes within them and the guitar riffs were not so minimal.

A 3-piece for the ages

Their wizardly control of amplified feedback is like no other. No three piece band has created a thicker wall of sound since RATM. Although the genres are different it doesn't matter. I've been a fan since I saw them open for NIN back in 2005. Future Perfect was the best debut album I've heard possibly ever in my life time. Robots in the garden....heavier than Thor's hammer. Very excited for the new album. Keep on fighting the good fight you guys. You are all honest musicians and it's liberating and inspiring. Thank you.

Evening the score

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that reviews 5,6 & 7 were all written by the same person. If you're going to write reviews that have nothing to do with the music then so will I.
