For London DJ/producer Charisse C, a return to the country of her birth inspired this immersive set of deep, warm Afro-house grooves, which includes “Morning Sun,” her own collab with DJ Kwamzy, alongside cuts from Tekniq, Malumz on Decks & Mpho.Wav, and Keynote, Felo Le Tee & Leemckrazy. “This is the first recording I have done since spending three months in South Africa which has really inspired a lot of the mix—[it’s the] majority of what I was listening to while I was there,” she tells Apple Music. “It features a lot of 3-step and amapiano, essentially a hybrid of sounds—which is what my upcoming EP, Evergreen, consists of.”
