Dead Kennedys spent the '80s challenging hypocrisy wherever they saw it, and as shown by their second album, Plastic Surgery Disasters (and its companion EP, In God We Trust, Inc.), their effectiveness lay in both frontman Jello Biafra’s acidic wit and the group’s twisty punk songwriting. "Moon Over Marin" is a smackdown of California's right wing set to mutant surf punk, while "Terminal Preppie" cuts loose with horn blasts and aggro-funk basslines.
