First, a caveat: neither of these singers is named Brigitte—and the only nudity (or “nues”) you’ll find here is in the soul-baring harmonies that Aurélie Saada and Sylvie Hoarau intertwine at every turn. The French folk-pop duo is in dynamic form on this third album, getting down to a breezy disco vibe on “Sauver ma peau,” dabbling in Middle Eastern themes for the coy come-on “La morsure” (translation: “bite”), and exploring their love-hate relationship with their hometown on the funky “Paris.” It's simply charming.
