Stunning Debut

Nadje Noordhuis has made a CD that is not just another collection of hodge-podge songs, but a beautiful, touching, playful and moving suite of music that feels like the arrival of an important new voice in jazz. The feel of the record hearkens back to the sound of the classic ECM catalog, with traces of Kenny Wheeler here and there, but is never derivative. Like all of my favorite jazz albums, this one holds together like a suite with a signature style and sound threading through from beginning to end. Check it out; this is one of the greatest debut CDs I've heard from an emerging jazz artist in many years.

Melodic and sonorous

Great writing, the production is really high end, and some of the playing (at one time or another from all the musicians) is amazing!.Geoffrey Keezer is a force of nature!

Beautiful way to start, end or enjoy the day.

Nadje has created very beautiful with this self-titled CD. I enjoy it as part of my morning mood-setting, my evening cool-down and anytime during the day when I need a few minutes to escape into something smart, sophisticated and beautiful. Nice job.
