Named for an Armenian poet, Raffi was born to rhyme, a talent he puts to great use on this 1976 gem. His folksinger roots and premier picking skills could support serious lyrics, but here he sings of a moose-kissing goose, a man in the moon with spaghetti hair, and peanut butter sandwiches. The supreme silliness Raffi conjures up is just part of his charm: Rather than singing to kids, he skillfully invites them to join in.
