Mobb Deep is infamous. Where some see a solid brick wall, Mobb Deep points out the bullet chips. It's that kind of attention to detail, mixed with detachment, that has endeared Mobb to the rap nation. Murda Muzik is slick in parts, with pop hooks sung rather than rapped. Old-school Mobb fans will gravitate to the lessons recited on "Spread Love" and "Where Ya Heart At," but the rest the album is almost equal to these two standouts.
