Alan Jackson's first album of the new millennium gave old-school country fans a reason to breathe easy; new era notwithstanding, Jackson stuck to his guns and delivered a welcome batch of the kind of neo-trad tunes that made him famous. On one end of the spectrum, you have boot-stomping honky-tonkers like "It's Alright to Be a Redneck," while on the other, you have emotional, vulnerable weepers like "When Somebody Loves You.” Even Jackson’s lone concession to modernity, "www.memory," maintains a comforting, undeniably rootsy vibe.
