EDITORS’ NOTES

Swedish singer Ellinor Olovsdotter—a.k.a. Elliphant—shot to prominence after appearing on a clutch of high-profile collabs with Skrillex, Diplo, and MØ. Her second album calls back those friends for a celebration drenched with pop hooks, budding electro anthems, and attractive stylistic shifts. “Step Down” builds a midtempo banger from pulsing electro bass, while “Love Me Badder” and “Where Is Home” introduce hints of reggae and arena pop. A melancholic shade runs through “One More” and the Skrillex-produced “Spoon Me,” proving Elliphant a chameleonic chanteuse indeed.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

love elli, but...

am i the only one really creeped out by the album cover???? like i know its not right to judge based on that, especially considering the two available tracks are really good. I just feel so uncomfortable looking at it that it actually detracts from the listening experience

Consistently Outstanding

Heard "Love Me Badder" a couple years ago and it became my favorite song of the year. Decided to try the rest of the album this past year and wow, it's excellent. "Everybody" is one of my all-time favorite songs. There are so many good songs on the album. Other favorites on the album are "Thing Called Life", "Step Down" and the title track. I hope she puts out another album soon.
