If you want to savor the unique musical—and social—phenomenon that is the Last Night of the Proms for more than one evening in September, here’s just the thing. Conducted by Barry Wordsworth, the BBC Concert Orchestra give us all the traditional pops, including Elgar’s “Pomp and Circumstance” March No. 4, Henry Wood’s “Fantasia on British Sea Songs,” “Rule Britannia”—with Della Jones on terrific form—and “Land of Hope and Glory.” And they also throw in some quintessentially British fare like “Nimrod” from the Enigma Variations and Holst’s “I Vow to Thee, My Country.”
