The Vallejo, CA, icon’s fourth official album centers around the endlessly charismatic MC’s never-ending party. But while the slang-heavy lyrics are dizzy with assorted bacchanalia—see “Off Tha Rictor,” a tipsy tour through a riotous kickback—the beats are mellow and melodic. “Black Buck Rogers” is a laidback G-funk ode to space-age macking, and the breezy “Let’s Go Riden,” with a soulful chorus from Felicia White, is better suited for cruising the boulevard than ghost-riding the whip.
