Fault Lines

Fault Lines

This Danish synthesizer-based ambient-rock band formed in 2008 by three childhood friends added a dedicated keyboardist to their live show and have since made him a permanent member with their third album, the fully mature Fault Lines. The group's previous works have been nominated for a number of awards in Europe and in 2011 they won Best Danish Live Act at the Danish Music Awards. The addition of a permanent synth player gives them a sure-handed accomplice for these innovative and moody tunes that take the somnambulistic tendencies of Talk Talk and turn them into something worthy of a pulsing film score. Strategically, they sing in English and songs such as "Boulevard" and "Good Morning, It's Tomorrow" cruise with a sense of danger. The sweet hook of the chorus in "You're The Cure" tells just one side of this dark story where singer Silas Bjerregaard is sick like a junkie with love.
