The Bay Area underground hit “FasTrak” cemented an alliance between East Oakland rapper Young Chop (not to be confused with the Chicago producer) and San Francisco’s Molly G. The EP of the same name includes five more slappers showcasing Young Chop’s gruff, raspy voice and producer Just Quality’s buzzing basslines and eerie piano loops. Chop’s Shadey Mob associate Rado turns up on two tracks, firing off a staccato verse on “Stay up in Yo Lane” that contrasts with Molly G’s wired, breathless hook.
