Face I Love - EP

The success of their 2013 self-titled album kept these rock industry vets on the road and only able to record an EP’s worth of music for 2014, when they joined a tour with Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The group added drummer Brian Tichy, who’s worked for Whitesnake, Foreigner, and Billy Idol. Tichy fits right in with Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed, G N’ R and Psychedelic Furs guitarist Richard Fortus, and singer Jon Stevens (Noiseworks, INXS) among the ranks. For classic hard rock fans, this may be the EP of the year. Its four songs—including a powerful but not overdone version of The Beatles’ “Helter Skelter”—just let ‘er rip with a no-nonsense attack that’s rarely been heard since the ‘70s and ‘80s. It's not heavy metal; it's hard rock—a genre that likes its guitars loud and impressive but also prefers its songs to be melodic and memorable. “Face I Love,” “Angel in Your Eyes," and “Your Karma” all live up to the band’s previous standards.
