Lively and raw, as though The Alabama Lovesnakes simply set up in the studio and let it rip, Everybody’s Gotta Go unfolds like a raucous house party that refuses to let up until the first rays of the early morning sun come knocking. The Swedish power trio nail the sweet spot between Texas-bred swing and hard-jamming Chicago blues on standouts “Daddy’s Beard” and “Prison of Love.” The supercharged “Kokobello Blues” captures the Lovesnakes at their most ecstatic, especially guitarist Claes “Crocodile” Nilsson, whose fiery picking dominates the tune’s second half.
