The Brit singer-songwriter returns wiser with a pocket full of glossy nostalgic pop. Opening on the dusky jazz of "Faded", Maguire shows the whispering promise of her much-lauded 2011 debut, while the moody retro pop of "Elizabeth Taylor" is a tale of Hollywood glamour and loneliness which shows her grand reference points and vocal range. It's probably the off-kilter moments which capture most though—the darkness and wailing blues vocal of "Falling Leaves" show her musical education has heralded good results.
