Música norteña owes no small debt to Los Huracanes del Norte. Enduring professionally and thriving musically in a volatile industry for roughly five decades, they further bolster their sprawling songbook with this second volume in their newly christened Corridos Perros series. As before, familiar themes pervade the project, from the riveting getaways of “La Ram Verde” and “Motor 460” to the fabled ferocity of “El Leon De La Sierra.” The equine mercies of “El Potrillo Herido” abut the romantic pride of “Que Bonito,” each executed with instrumental finesse and suitable grace.
