Deliverin' (Live)

Deliverin' (Live)

It took pioneering country-rockers Poco several years to see major success, but 1970's live Deliverin' was the most successful album of their first decade. They had only released two studio records beforehand, and some songs from those pop up here ("You'd Better Think Twice," "Consequently, So Long," etc.), as well as a few from Richie Furay's Buffalo Springfield days ("Child's Claim to Fame," the lambent "Kind Woman"). Rusty Young's steel guitar, the rich, proto-Eagles vocal harmonies (two Poco members eventually became Eagles)—everything about the band is at its best here.
