The poignant opener “Boys In The Street”—highlighting the emotional discomfort of a father-son relationship—grows into the self-confident, radio-friendly choruses of “Hold On Tight” and “Bulletproof”, proving the singer-songwriter’s soft rock tales have more nerve and soul once one scratches the surface.
