“It’s one of my favorite songs ever,” Pip Millett tells Apple Music about “Love, Love, Love,” the centerpiece track from Donny Hathaway’s third and final album Extension of a Man. “I wanted to give it more of a relaxed feel to match the stripped-back vibe, but didn’t want to deviate too far from the original, just because I love it so much.” And the Manchester-born singer’s three-track serving is made complete with tender, downbeat renditions of 2022 singles “Slow” and “Walk Away.” “Normally, it’s just me and one other person when I’m in the studio, so nothing really changed on that front,” says Millett. “The last few years have taught me that I’m able to enjoy my own company way more than I thought I might do, which is nice!”
