“TRAINWRECK,” the fifth single from Anne-Marie’s hit album UNHEALTHY, is a full-blast, hands-in-the-air breakup anthem. For her Apple Music Home Session, however, she strips it all the way back to just acoustic guitar and her distinctive vocal, with a touch of strings to accent the bridge. “I always love recording different versions, it’s really fun to do,” she tells Apple Music. “I chose ‘TRAINWRECK’ because I just love the way it makes me feel so free. It’s for anyone who felt trapped in a relationship and finally got out—a happy ending!” An alternative—far more vengeful—scenario plays out in her cover of SZA’s global smash, “Kill Bill,” which centers around a paradoxically beautiful piano melody. “I made it very simple so the lyrics really shine through, and tried to put my English accent in there a bit too,” says Anne-Marie. “I love the lyrics, I think they are just great. It’s a song I wish I wrote!”
