Afro Therapy - EP

A vibe for all seasons, Afro Therapy signals Bantu’s embracive disposition in a traversal of Afrobeats, pop, dancehall and amapiano. Primarily inspired by the musical energies of Zimbabwe, Ghana, Mozambique and South Africa, the EP pairs pan-African rhythms with influences from various sonic territories. There’s a freshness accompanying Bantu’s template, as his catchy lyricism and uplifting melodies fuel these dance-inducing grooves. Both “Rude Girl” and “Feelin Myself” are punctuated by log drums before the drill-inflected “This Could Be Us” precedes a detour to the islands, through the addictive guitar licks of “Try Again”. Compatriot Shungudzo adds some homegrown flair to the P.Priime-helmed “Come Over”, with its flute notes providing the same infectiousness fellow vocalists Pabi Cooper and Mbali The Real do—over production by Dr Chaii and DJ Tarico (of Yaba Buluku Boyz) respectively.
