A World With No Skies 2.0

A World With No Skies 2.0

A member of two different crews—Special Teamz (alongside Edo G, DJ JayCeeOh, and Jaysaun) and La Coka Nostra (with Ill Bill, Everlast, and DJ Lethal)—Slaine is known for his vivid lyricism and intimidating appearance, as well as his acting work in the Boston-centric flicks Gone Baby Gone and The Town. After some delays, his debut solo album is finally here, and it's a good one. A solid mix of rugged violence and moody introspection, A World with No Skies 2.0 shows us multiple sides of his personality, set to relentlessly hard-hitting production from Lu Balz and Silvamore, among others. Standouts include "99 Bottles," "Zombie," "Can't Go Home," and the grimy story rap "The Boulevard" featuring Blacastan, Sean P, and Ill Bill.
