This is a best-of compilation like no other, packed to the gills with some of King’s most skillfully written and deftly produced chart smashes—her second studio album, Tapestry, appears in full. She moves from sensuous and rakish (“I Feel the Earth Move”) to tender and sweet (“You’ve Got a Friend”), but her genius clearly extends beyond her sophomore effort: She shows off her linguistic chops on Spanish-language “Corazón” and her whimsy on children’s TV theme “Really Rosie.”
