Prior to the release of Echoes Within, contemporary classical pianist and composer Archit Anand worked with the likes of hip-hop artist Prabh Deep and pop singer-songwriter Tanya Nambiar, but all the while he chipped away at his own material. This first EP by the New Delhi-based talent tracks a journey of self-discovery and self-belief, with the artist’s keys taking centre stage throughout. Opener “Dreaming” and closer “Trust the process” are subtle and hopeful. “Breathe” oscillates atop a shuffling electronic beat—and “This too shall pass” is elevated by Sai Prasanna’s violin that ties the piece together seamlessly.
