DSP (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Slick and energetic cop flick DSP gets the soundtrack it needs to complement the on-screen drama. Composer D. Imman digs into the loud and vibrant sonic style of Tamil folk music over its eight tracks, three of which are instrumental. But he adds his own flavours, too, particularly when he teams up with Udit Narayan. The singing legend joins two playback stars on heartwarming wedding song “Nalla Irumaa”. Elsewhere, Carnatic artist Sid Sriram leads on the romantic “Annapoorani”. And foot-stomper “Venaam Thalaiva Adviceu”—featuring vocalist Javed Ali at his playful best—is another highlight.
