“The sounds are not dissimilar to a squeaky wheelbarrow that saturates the night soundscape,” says Martyn Stewart. “The sounds of frogs are also heard through the night like tiny glass balls on a Christmas tree. This is a recording I made at the edge of the delta. It’s a place of sanctuary for many animals and at times full of all critters making their noises. I loved the peace and tranquility of this recording; everyone had gone off to find a tree or a place of safety to replenish themselves for the next day.
