Another Perfect Day (Deluxe Edition)

Another Perfect Day (Deluxe Edition)

With the departure of guitarist Fast “Eddie” Clarke, Motörhead hired Brian “Robbo” Robertson of Thin Lizzy. His tenure lasted just this album, but as Lemmy claims, he was the “right man at the right time.” Robertson’s melodic take brought a new dimension to Motörhead that combined with the flawless production from Tony Platt turned the band towards something accessible. “Dancing On Your Grave” features plenty of admirable solos. “Rock It” cranks out the “rock ‘n’ roll” just as their leader, Lemmy Kilmister, always insisted. “Philthy Animal” Taylor’s drumming is deep in the pocket and makes every song a cruise down the Autobahn. “One Track Mind” slows the band down to sightseeing speed. The blues riffs lurking in disguise on “Another Perfect Day” and “I Got Mine” turn them into the world’s most dangerous bar band. This Deluxe Edition includes a live performance from the Manchester Apollo, June 10, 1983, where the band take new tracks like “Back At the Funny Farm” and “Tales of Glory” and jack up the power, while stopping off to dismantle Willie Dixon’s “Hootchie Cootchie Man” until it’s pure Motörhead.
