Israeli singer/songwriter Einan Perel got his start in the IDF Orchestra and, after earning a degree in music, went on to compose songs for other local pop and rock artists including Rita and Nurit Galron. On his debut album, Tofer Begadim Le-Erev Chag (Making Clothes on Christmas Eve), Perel incorporates sweeping string arrangements and dramatic piano passages with electronic production and a modern rock setup of guitar, bass and drums—while deep background harmonies set off his disarmingly simple lead vocals.
