This year, in honour of Black Music Month, we’re exploring the undeniable impact of Black music and musicians around the world. Spain has a new, young generation of Black artists like DEVA, Gabriela Richardson and Paranoid 1966, all of whom draw from pop, trap and other current sounds and blend them with their own sonic roots. Buika, Frank T. and El Chojin act as godmothers and fathers of the new generation, who, since the ’90s, have widely broadened their sounds to reflect the current musical scene.
