Echoing their early performances in Milan’s clubs, sisters Paola and Chiara Iezzi deftly combined songwriting chops with a dance music edge. Their first releases in the late ’90s explored pop-rock and Celtic flavours, but their popularity exploded with “Vamos a bailar”, a buoyant dance smash informed by the vibrancy of Latin pop. Various versions and remixes of their songs juggle Europop, disco and funk. Yet across their catalogue, the duo’s expressive harmonies remain front and centre, right up to their final album Giungla—which includes a techno-laced collab with rapper Razza Krasta.
