Editors' Notes Turkish pop provided a bottomless source of rhythmic energy across the ’10s. The scene’s much-loved stars Tarkan and Sezen Aksu added another decade to their uncontested reigns with stylish, dance-ready party favourites. They are joined here by fresh-faced pop sensation Aleyna Tilki, who served up viral EDM-inflected hits before she turned 20. Greek rhythmic touches, arabesque and deep house also meet in fizzing pop mixtures. But some of the ’10s most delicious moments are also the most subdued—among them Kenan Doğulu’s sunny, guitar-laden pop and Mehmet Erdem’s low-key piano melodies.
