About Lime Cordiale

Australian brothers Louis and Oli Leimbach, who began playing their music around Sydney’s Northern Beaches while in high school, formed their indie-pop band Lime Cordiale in 2009. ∙ After seeing them at a 2011 band competition, Iva Davies—of the iconic Aussie rock group Icehouse—became their mentor and coproduced three of Lime Cordiale’s digital singles. ∙ Their playful, beachy EPs Falling Up the Stairs (2013) and Road to Paradise (2015) were released by Aussie music legend Michael Chugg on his Chugg Music label. ∙ The duo’s debut album, 2017’s Permanent Vacation—a mix of ’60s-pop influences and modern pop-punk sounds—was their first recording to enter the Australian charts. ∙ Oli Leimbach directed the video for Lime Cordiale’s New Wave-flavored 2017 single, “Temper Temper,” which has been viewed more than 400,000 times. ∙ Four of their songs made the 2019 Hottest 100 list of fan favorites compiled by Australian radio station Triple J, with duo’s catchy heartbreak lament “Robbery” reaching No. 7. ∙ In 2020, 14 Steps To a Better You, which featured songs offering “lessons” in a parody of self-help books, debuted at No. 1 on the Australian albums chart.
